If this does not solve the issue, I will RMA the card in the future. Only change done was my custom fan curves for the case fans. Just updated to the latest and using factory defaults this time to eliminate every other obstacle. I was using an older BIOS known to have the best performance. However, the PC did not BSOD, the GPU just cycled and I was able to just continue using the PC. Using the browser for a few hours and it happened again. Reset all curve optimizer setting for CPU, reset GPU to default clocks. As I already eliminated the problem by using MSI Afterburner and locking the clocks. But I highly doubt it's a RAM/CPU instability. I could troubleshoot and reset to factory defaults ( turn off all my RAM OC and CPU Optimizer settings, etc) and see if the GPU crashes on idle. And it never crashed before on my RTX 2070. Since then, created an MSI Afterburner profile that is running underclocked for both Core & vRAM and locked with curve editor to the lowest value of Core 1230Mhz at 700mV. If you set it in your global options, it does mean your card will not drop to idle clocks when not gaming, which will make it run a bit hotter. Error pictured below from over a week ago. Solution Supernova1138 It is safe to use. But only when the GPU & vRAM clocks are at their lowest states while browsing basically. Not when overclocked, not when gaming, not when stress testing for hours. I had this issue with my RTX 3090 where the system would just shut down at idle only. Peeps just see 'Unstable' in the feedback & move on by when the reality is that the driver may perform very well for them. Inform peeps of your findings but do not label the driver as this may be misleading to many potential users. You may have various issues with this driver but to place a blanket statement regarding its reliability is just plain nonsense, as for many users there just is no issue worthy of complaint.
